There have been rumors surrounding the reconciliation between King Charles and his estranged son, Prince Harry, and it looks like he’s been trying to get other family members on board.
New insider reports have come out that the King is quite ready to reconnect and heal his relationship with the prince and his wife, Meghan Markle, but that he’s currently struggling to get Prince William and Kate Middleton to agree with him following years of tension and reported feuding. Insiders claim this issue is quite timely, especially due to his developing cancer diagnosis. Read more about what the insiders had to say below.

King Charles Reportedly Wants To Reconcile With Prince Harry & Meghan Markle This Year
It's no secret that one of the biggest events that rattled the lives of most members of the royal family was the departure of Prince Harry and the As Ever founder, who officially stepped back from their royal duties in 2020 to live a more 'normal' life away from the UK press and monarchy in 2020. In the last five years, tensions have seemingly increased between the couple and King Charles, as well as the future King and Queen, Prince William and Kate Middleton.
However, the times may be changing, as not only did the Spare author himself admit to wanting to "reconcile" with his father and brother, but royal sources and insiders have claimed his father feels the same way. A lot of it began when Prince Harry visited his father for tea last year, and a royal insider recently came forward to express that the King is ready to let his son back in.
"He's dealing with serious health issues while running the monarchy, and he genuinely feels like this family infighting is ridiculous in the grand scheme of things," an insider told Closer. "He acknowledges that Harry and Meghan have made a lot of missteps, but he's willing to forgive them."

King Charles Allegedly Needs Prince William & Kate Middleton To Be On The Same Page
Many royal fans can understand a father wanting to reconnect with his son, especially since it's been years since he's seen two of his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, who are now six and four years old. However, it's been coming out that the future King and Queen have reportedly been having a harder time feeling the same way. Allegedly, he believes his daughter-in-law would be the one to bridge the gap.
"Kate is literally his only hope at this point, and he's let her know in no uncertain terms that he's counting on her," the source said. "He's not framing this as an order, but it's pretty clear that's what this is. He wants this visit handled in a way that doesn't make things any worse."
Not only is this personal issue rattling the family, but they're also feeling that the ongoing tension and headlines are bad for the monarchy as a whole.
"And not just within the family, the public will be watching very closely; they need to think about the optics," the insider added. "Letting this ugly family feud rage on is a terrible look for the Monarchy, and Charles says Kate understands that better than anyone and knows how to rise above personal feelings when duty calls."
