The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has the internet talking after sharing her loaded Instagram post with pictures from her famous family's 4th of July festivities. On Monday, July 13th, she posted over 10 snaps of herself and her children, who spent the weekend playing with their cousins and more.
There was also a noteworthy selfie she shared of herself, her 8-year-old daughter, Chicago, and her new boyfriend, race driver Lewis Hamilton. The selfie itself garnered a lot of attention online and quickly became the big highlight of the large post. However, another snap in the carousel has raised some eyebrows.
In one photo, Chicago, who is the youngest daughter of her and ex-husband Kanye West, can be seen sitting in the driver's seat of a red ATV, holding the wheel, as the SKIMS founder sits behind her. Though the vehicle was seemingly still for the picture, neither of them was wearing a helmet in the image.
Social Media Users Critize Kim's Parenting In The Comments
After the mom-of-four shared her post, there were a lot of comments left underneath it by fans and followers, many of whom pointed out the selfie of her and the F1 driver, as it was a rare moment in their fairly private relationship.
However, a few commenters across platforms also left messages about the picture of Chicago on the ATV, specifically highlighting that she wasn't wearing a helmet, as healthcare professionals have pointed out that "protective gear reduces the risk of head injury, fractures, and severe cuts" on vehicles like ATVs.
She's sparked backlash for this kind of issue in the past after posting videos of her son, Saint, doing tricks on what users called a "dangerous" motorized bike. Therefore, when she shared the image of an even younger Chicago on an ATV without a helmet, it triggered more of those comments.
