One of the most famous attractions in Italy is the historic Trevi Fountain in Rome, which is visited by thousands of tourists each year. The fountain, which is the city’s largest Baroque fountain, carries a tradition of visitors tossing a coin over their left shoulder into it for good luck.
None other than the “Firework” singer went to visit the famous structure last week, taking a trip after being seen at Coachella with her new boyfriend, Justin Trudeau, attending a Netflix premiere party, and more. During her Italian vacation, she walked around one evening in a cozy, beige sweatsuit, coordinating dark baseball cap, and her hood up. Her long, black hair was tied into a braided side ponytail, and she had on some glasses with rectangular silver frames.
In a TikTok video shared to what fans believe is her ‘spam’ account, Katy is seen asking for a penny in front of the Trevi Fountain, joking about how she doesn’t have any change to throw in order to make a wish at the famous structure.
“I need to put something in the Trevi Fountain for good luck,” she says in the video as she’s seen tossing her credit card into the water and swishing it around.

Social Media Users Slam Katy As 'Out Of Touch' After Seeing Her Video
Though the mom-of-one seemingly posted the video to be funny, and was even seen snatching her credit card back from the water of the fountain, it didn't sit well with numerous internet users. It's certainly not the first time Katy's received some backlash this year. Still, after sharing her fountain video, there were a lot of people who were angry enough to slam her in the comments sections on various social media platforms.
"Go home, Katy, we're not amused," commented an Instagram user.
"Out of touch Marie Antoinette vibes," added another, with one user stating, "It's not even funny."
"I can see why Orlando divorced," joked a user, as another slammed her as an "attention-grabbing has-been."
