Rumors have been swirling around Queen Camilla and Kate Middleton and the reported feud between them. Insiders swear that tensions are high between the royal women, with even the smallest things, like what’s on the menu, causing a power struggle. Keep reading for more information.

Queen Camilla & Kate Middleton Butt Heads Over Menu
Queen Camilla, 78, recently revealed in a light-hearted interview with her son, food writer Tom Parker Bowles, that she avoids many loud flavors like chili, garlic, and peppers, flavors that Kate Middleton is known to enjoy.
"I can't bear peppers, raw or cooked," Camilla told Tom. "I'm not a fan of offal either, aside from very good liver. And I avoid chili and garlic too."
Kate, on the other hand, has been known to enjoy spicy flavors. Speaking during a reception at the Aga Khan Centre in London in 2019, she spoke about her passion for Asian flavors like curry. "It's so hard cooking curry with the family though," she told guests. "The children have a portion with no spice, yours is medium," she said to William. "And I quite like it hot."
While this might seem like a surface level disagreement, added on to an already towering pile of differences, it can certainly move the needle in the wrong direction. One insider said it best: "On the surface, this sounds trivial, but food is just another way Kate and Camilla's massive differences are playing out. Camilla prides herself on simplicity and tradition, while Kate is much more experimental and outward-looking, and that reflects how they each see the future of the monarchy."

Queen Camilla & Kate Middleton's Feud Escalates
While we still don't know the official truth, new reports are suggesting that the Princess of Wales is far from the Queen Consort's biggest fan. According to insiders, the mom-of-three is fully aware that it "won't be long" before husband Prince William ascends the throne, and she has no intention of shrinking herself in the meantime.
In fact, some insiders are claiming that the shift is already underway, as evidenced by her appearance at recent royal events. Queen Camilla has allegedly been feeling "sidelined" at some recent events, including the U.S. state banquet at the end of last year, where the Prince and Princess of Wales appeared to command much of the attention, as well as during the recent Christmas celebrations.
King Charles and Queen Camilla were notably absent from the Princess of Wales' 'Together at Christmas' carol concert at Westminster Abbey in December 2025. The official line was that it was because they didn't want to outshine her or steal the spotlight; but after reading reports, it seems like Camilla may have struggled with the idea of playing second fiddle at an event so closely associated with Kate
