Earlier this year, Prince William admitted to the press that he hasn’t been in “a calm state” as of late. Between dealing with the former Prince Andrew’s scandal, his father’s ailing health, his wife’s cancer battle, and his constant underlying feud with his younger brother, it’s no surprise that he hasn’t been feeling his best. Kate Middleton 'Concerned' For Prince William

The scandal surrounding the former Prince Andrew and his relationship with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein has been particularly difficult for Prince William to handle, with William suspected to be the driving force behind Andrew's eviction from the Royal Lodge and stripping of his royal titles.

"Kate's first concern has always been William, and giving him support," royal author Kate Nichol told the Mirror. "This may take the form of allowing him the time and space to deal with things privately, or providing him with a safe space in which to relax and take his mind off things."

"Maybe over a game with the children or getting outdoors for a long walk in nature," Nichol added.

Prince William Not In A 'Calm State'

Back in February, Prince William and Princess Catherine attended the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs), and the future King answered a few interview questions on the red carpet, revealing that he hasn't been in "a calm state" recently. After being asked what he thought of Hamnet, which took home the award for Outstanding British Film that evening, he revealed he hadn't seen the film yet.

"I need to be in quite a calm state and I am not at the moment," William told the interviewer about why he hasn't seen the film yet. "I will save it," he added, noting that his wife, Princess Catherine, had watched the film already, and it left her with "floods of tears."

"It was so beautifully shot," Kate added herself. "The music as well. The score is fantastic."
