Carrie Underwood undoubtedly changed the course of her career when she performed at Donald Trump’s inauguration, and it looks like that decision is continuing to follow her.
The country singer recently appeared on The View, and during her interview, viewers couldn’t help but notice that one of the show’s most popular personalities, Joy Behar, was missing, despite appearing at the beginning of the episode. It didn’t take long for them to put two and two together, reflecting on Behar’s past criticisms of Carrie’s Trump inauguration performance. Read more about the situation below.

Joy Behar Leaves Her Seat On 'The View' During Carrie Underwood's Recent Interview
With the current season of American Idol in full swing, the "Before He Cheats" singer is quite busy and has a lot of media outlets wanting to chat with her.
On Tuesday, March 24th, Carrie and her fellow Idol judges were invited to sit down for an interview with the ladies who host The View. The three judges talked about the current season of the singing competition show and answered some questions about what the rest of the season might have to offer.
Throughout their conversation, it became clear that one of the most famous hosts, Joy Behar, was missing from the table. She was there for the start of the episode, yet, alongside Sara Haines, she was absent from the American Idol interview with no acknowledgment from the other hosts. Once Carrie's interview was finished, she returned to her seat at the famous table.

Fans Speculate As To Why Joy Left The 'American Idol' Interview
After the episode aired, it didn't take long for fans and other internet users to start speculating as to why the comedian and actress decided to skip the conversation with the country star and other Idol judges.
One of the most popular theories is that Joy decided to get up and not interview Carrie because, over the years, she's criticized the singer for singing at President Donald Trump's inauguration for his second term in 2025. She accused the Grammy-winner of "normalizing" Trump's antics, and after she defended her inaugural performance, responded, "How do you love your country, and support and normalize someone who was a convicted felon, who really wants to destroy the country?"
Though some backed Joy up with those sentiments, fans of Carrie's took to defending her on social media.
"That's something a 3-year-old would do," an Instagram user wrote about Joy.
"Joyless is nothing but a joke, and I don't know why people watch this show," wrote another.
"Carrie Underwood is a special person who loves her country," a fan commented.
