John Goodman Attends The Digger Premiere In London
The Roseanne star attended the world premiere of Digger in London's Leicester Square on September 22nd, where he joined Tom Cruise, Riz Ahmed, Jesse Plemons, and the rest of the cast on the red carpet. In the movie, John plays Compson, the dictatorial President of the United States, alongside Cruise, who stars as wealthy oil tycoon Digger Rockwell in Alejandro G. Iñárritu's black comedy.
For the premiere, John looked sharp in a classic black tuxedo with a matching black bow tie, with the tailored look putting his significantly slimmer frame on full display.
"It was a pleasure to go to work every day," he said during a red carpet interview, referring to the Digger filmmaking process. "It was a great experience."

Fans React To John's Appearance On The Red Carpet Following His 200-Lb Weight Loss
The Monsters, Inc. voice actor's weight loss has been an ongoing process, with him previously revealing that he quit drinking in 2007 and later worked on changing his eating and exercise habits. He has said he once weighed close to 400 pounds and has since lost around 200 pounds.
"In the old days, I would take three months out, lose 60 or 70 pounds, and then reward myself with a 6-pack of Bud or whatever and just go back to my old habits," he said in a 2016 interview. "Then this time I wanted to do it slowly, move, exercise. I'm getting to the age where I can't afford to sit still anymore. And it gives me the energy to work, 'cause work is very draining."
After seeing him at the Digger premiere looking thinner than ever, fans praised his progress.
"Wow, he looks great!" commented a fan on Reddit.
"He's looking healthy!" a fan observed, as another responded, "He got sober and has really flourished since!"
"So glad he was able to lose the weight and keep himself healthier," a user gushed. "A treasure!"
