Ben Affleck Reportedly Sold His Share Of His & J-Lo's $60M Mansion
Celebrity marriages often come with a lot of expensive and important things to smooth over when a high-profile couple gets divorced. From expensive homes to investments, when it starts initially split, there's a good chance their divorce and settlements take a longer time to get completed.
One of the latest celebrity divorces that still has people talking was the one between Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, the famous actor and singer, who pleased fans when they got back together after breaking up in the early 2000s. Though they were very public with their affection for each other and got married in 2022, things came to an end in 2024, with their divorce not finalized until early 2025.
However, there was one thing the couple was reportedly struggling to settle on, which was the sale of the 8,000-square-foot mansion they purchased to live in together. The pair had a hard time selling the large home, drastically dropping the price, putting it on and off the market, etc. This week, TMZ acquired court documents that showed the Good Will Hunting writer decided to give his entire interest in the property to Jennifer for free.
Ben Reportedly Wants To 'Move On' After Splitting From Jennifer, Who Is 'Bewildered'
According to insiders who know the former on-and-off-again couple, the decision made by the dad-of-three wasn't necessarily all because of financial reasons, but emotional ones, as he wants to detach himself from his latest ex-wife for good.
"He's been desperate to move on," a source told the National Examiner. "At this point, all Ben wants is for J.Lo to be out of his hair."
While the decision to give the "Jenny From The Block" vocalist his share of their unlisted home might've set him free and made him feel better, sources are revealing that it rubbed her the wrong way and made her upset.
"J.Lo is bewildered," they added. "It stings that Ben's so eager to be rid of her that he's willing to write off millions."
We'll be curious to see if either Ben or Jennifer decides to acknowledge their real estate struggles, as well as their current move, in their divorce. Still, for now, it looks like fans might start seeing a new side of Ben, or at least, a new attitude, since this reportedly means he's 'moving on' for good.
