Jada Pinkett Smith 'Enjoys' Living Apart From Husband Will Smith
In the interview, which aired in 2023 when Jada was promoting her memoir, Worthy, Hoda asks Jada to clarify her living situation with Will Smith."We will," she said, explaining that she sees a future where they live together again. "Not right now."
"Why do you say that with such clarity?" Hoda asked.
"Because that's what it's going to be. Right now, I really do enjoy my space. I am my mother's only child. So having this time that I've had to myself has been fantastic. Just to get to know me, even to have my house exactly the way I want it. I don't have to be like, 'Well what color do you want this wall?' I could just do it."
"You're the chooser!" Hoda affirmed. "So when you imagine your life back together, 'cause I'm sure you've seen it, how does that look to you?"
"We don't know yet," Jada answered. "We'll build that. And it'll be something new."

Social Media Reactions
Across social media platforms, users scoffed at Jada's willingness to discuss the private aspects of her less-than-traditional marriage. "What's worse than toxic?" one person asked on X. "Whatever it is, Jada is worse than that!"
"How is she comfortable talking about family issues to the world in this way?" another person asked. "Jada is really really weird."
"Why is this anyone's business?" the next agreed.
"When will she stop publicly humiliating her husband?" another said.
"She just keeps digging the hole deeper and deeper," reads another tweet.
"Will, man, if you don't leave this woman already," a final user posted. "She does not respect you. You deserve better."
