Ivanka Trump launched Planet Harvest back in 2023 pretty quietly, but now that she’s partnered with Chobani, the spotlight is on her, and it’s not painting her in a good light. Planet Harvest, according to its website, is a profit-for-purpose produce and food-system company whose mission is to reduce produce waste, increase access to fresh fruit/vegetables, and support small farmers.
What’s the issue, then? Well, it all comes down to her father, President Donald Trump, who is pushing ICE raids around the country. Many of the people that pick produce on these farms that Ivanka is supposedly supporting are victims of these raids, and she’s not doing a thing about it. Keep reading for more information.

Ivanka Trump Promotes Farming Project Amid ICE Raids
Last weekend, Ivanka announced her partnership with Chobani on Instagram. “I co-founded @theplanetharvest with @msmelshenker to maximize the amount of fresh food that moves from farms to families,” she wrote. “We’re excited to announce our partnership with @chobani and @hamdi.ulukaya to incorporate sustainably-sourced, whole harvest produce into their delicious products.”
This is all well and good, except for the fact that many of the people that work on the farms that grow this fresh produce are being deported. Since Donald Trump began his second term, there have been more ICE raids, resulting in more arrests and more violence than ever—and Ivanka hasn’t said a word about it.

Social Media Reactions
On Planet Harvest's Instagram page, online critics have let their complaints be known. "Your father cut $1B to connect farmers with schools and food banks," one person wrote in a comment. "He proposed $295 Billion in cuts to SNAP over the next decade. Wholesale vegetables are up 40%. He burned food aid out of spite. Produce pickers are being deported. Your vanity projects mean nothing. They are empty. A balm for your conscience as families in this country suffer."
"Another selfish endeavor for the Trumps," another person wrote.
"Just for the record," added a third, "The Planet Harvest is for profit and they charge food banks for their produce."
"Your family doesn't uplift anyone but yourselves," another person said.
"The hypocrisy is unbearable," one comment reads.
"A record number of Americans are facing food insecurity due to Trump tariffs, immigration raids, and cuts to social services," a final person wrote. "Stop pretending you care, Ivanka, you're complicit."
