It doesn't take much to cause a crack in your iPhone screen — accidentally pushing your phone off the kitchen counter with your elbow will do it. So will most toddlers, who are masterminds when it comes to destroying expensive gadgets. Once you notice a split in your iPhone screen, you may decide to bite the bullet immediately and visit an Apple store to have the glass replaced. But, if you're like many iPhone owners, you may not be keen on spending a lot of money on a new screen, particularly if you plan on upgrading your phone to a newer model in the near future.

You'll need a quick and cheap fix — one that may not be able to restore your glass to its original state, but will at the very least prevent it from cracking even more.

The first thing you'll need to do is visit a hardware store and nab a tube of super glue, which is made with a strong adhesive called Cyanoacrylate. Apply a small amount of the glue to a toothpick (if it starts to drip, you've applied too much) and carefully spread the glue into the iPhone screen crack so that the application is smooth and even. Since you'll probably get a bit of glue in places you don't want it, prepare for mishaps by dipping a Q-Tip into acetone nail polish remover and using the swab to gently (and carefully) remove excess glue around the crack.

Wait 15-20 minutes to ensure the glue has dried before using your iPhone again. This sweet little hack will save you money and should prevent further damage to your screen.
