King Charles and Queen Camilla’s visit to the White House has been keeping the Trump administration very busy—including the social media team. Taking to X with a photo of King Charles and Donald Trump, the White House X account captioned the photo, “TWO KINGS,” adding a crown emoji, a clear response to the “No Kings” protest movement that’s been building across the United States. Keep reading for more information.

White House Posts ‘Two Kings’ Tweet

With a photo in front of the White House of both suit-clad world leaders sharing a laugh, the White House X page sent social media into a frenzy. The photo, which featured the 77-year-old King of England and the 79-year-old president of the United States, was captioned, “TWO KINGS.” They even added a crown emoji for good measure.

It’s not a coincidence that the “No Kings” movement has been gaining traction across the United States since Donald Trump became president for the second time. The movement, which has popped up over the last 250 years as a form of opposition to authoritarian or strongman leadership, has been especially prominent with Trump as president, and clearly, the White House is making a joke of it.

Social Media Reactions

The tweet was clearly an attempt at "rage bait," according to social media users across platforms, it's also a clear sign of disrespect for democracy. "We know it's rage bait, but the fact that the president of the United States is doing it shows how big of a joke he is," one person wrote on Instagram. "His whole movement, his followers and him are the biggest joke to society and history will not remember them well."

"This is treason!" another person posted. "But because we're consuming it through a feed we're just so numbed to accept this?! Full stop! Enough is a enough. We the people are not angry enough!"

"Another desperate deflection to the Epstein/Trump files," one person suggested.

"No respect for democracy," another said. "The White House is a total joke."

"Yeah, if King of corruption was a thing," reads another comment.

"One king and an orange clown," a final user wrote.
