Donald Trump recently took the internet by surprise by not only sharing new pictures of his planned White House renovations and ballroom, but also with a new name for the project, which was not what a lot of people were expecting.

The president took to social media to share new renderings of what the new East Wing of the historical White House will look like when his renovations are finished, also sharing his new name for the project. Though he enthusiastically stated that the project was on track, social media users continued to call it a “waste,” and also poked fun at the new name it’s being referred to as. Read more about the situation below.

Donald Trump Shares New Photos Of The White House Renovations

There is a whole lot to talk and read about regarding the Trump administration right now, with the Freedom 250 events like the Great American State Fair taking place and more. However, an ongoing topic that’s still capturing people’s attention is the renovations of the White House that the president put into motion.

Not long after construction crews were spotted working on the East Wing of the White House to start redesigning it and building the president’s original ballroom project, over the weekend, he took to Truth Social to share new rendering images of what the East Wing will look like when completed. The White House shared the same pictures on X, including his quote, which also listed the new name for the entire project.

“Our Great National Security Facility and Ballroom is moving along on schedule,” the post reads. “When completed, there will be nothing like it anywhere in the World!”

Social Media Users React To The New White House Images & Poke Fun At The 'Great National Security Facility And Ballroom'

It didn't take long for the new post regarding the changes being made to the White House to grab people's attention, not only because it included new renderings, but also because it included the new name for the project and ballroom.

It also didn't take long for social media users to start chiming in on both the images and the name, finding the 'Great National Security Facility and Ballroom' to be rather extravagant and over the top. It sparked more backlash about the project overall, also reminding people of how costly it is, with the budget currently being an estimated $600M.

"The whole world is laughing at you, losers," an X user directed towards the president and his administration.

"Do regular people actually care about the Trump Ballroom?" asked another. "This is so stupid."

"Nobody needs this ridiculously large 'ballroom' that you are using American tax money to build," responded a user.

"Ballroom and a national security facility in the same sentence," another added. "Tells you who the party is for."

One user called the ballroom "embarrassing," as another asked, "How does a ballroom make America great?"
