Donald Trump is no stranger to being mocked and called out for the things he said. One of his most recent slip-ups occurred during a recent speech discussing California leadership, where he accidentally refered to Governor Gavin Newsom, one of his high-profile political opponents, as the President of the United States, which unsurprisingly got a lot of reactions online!
And he once again faced the endless mockery of social media after telling reporters that he wasn’t afraid of anything while speaking about tensions with Iran – a remark social media deemed that to be very untrue. Keep reading for more information…

Social Media Mocks Donald Trump After He Tells Reporters He's 'Not Afraid Of Anything'
The moment came during a brief exchange with reporters at the White House last week as Trump took questions about the escalating conflict with Iran, and the possibility of deploying U.S. troops on the ground.
One reporter asked the POTUS: "Iran has said if you put boots on the ground it will be another Vietnam. Are you afraid of that?"
The question referenced fears that a ground invasion could spiral into a prolonged conflict similar to the Vietnam War. Trump, 79, responded bluntly: "I'm really not afraid of anything."
His response quickly circulated online, and the reactions were far from complimentary. The X account @ProudSocialist reposted the video and added the caption: "What he is afraid of is the Epstein files, which is why he is sending your children to war to murder other people's children."

Social Media Reactions To Donald Trump's Comment
A second X user quipped: "Trump: I'm really not afraid of anything. Except Jimmy Kimmel, windmills, Bad Bunny, bad press, tight socks, Putin, women, fair elections, salads, math, responsibility, Melania, 3-syllable words, American patriots, deodorant, the Epstein files, and my president, Gavin C. Newsom."
The reference to Gavin C. Newsom was of course a dig at his aforementioned slip-up earlier this month. And the reference to the late-night host Jimmy Kimmel likely stems from years of on-air criticism directed at Trump on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Meanwhile, the mention of Bad Bunny – who headlined the Super Bowl halftime show in February, much to Trump's disapproval – seemingly references the singer's past political comments and criticism of Trump-era policies, particularly around immigration and Latino representation in the United States.

"Trump is afraid of spending the rest of his life in prison. That is why he started an unnecessary war with Iran in order to distract from the Trump-Epstein files," added a third user, while a fourth chimed in: "'I'm not afraid of anything.' Says the man playing golf, 6000 miles away, nicely out of range."
A fifth wrote: "The quality, 'not afraid of anything,' is not a strength or a virtue; it is a psychopathy. A healthy individual is afraid of many things, which they avoid scrupulously or think carefully about before indulging in them." A sixth echoed this, writing: "How dangerous to have someone in charge who is not afraid of anything."
Other X users took the criticism in a different direction, with a seventh saying: "Trump is 'not afraid of anything' because he (or his cowardly sons) won't be the ones doing any of the fighting. Exactly where was Donald Trump during Vietnam!? He wasn't serving his country back then either."
"He's not afraid because he and his family and his friends and his friends' family don't have to actually go fight. They just get to tell people to go fight," an eighth added. "If he had to send his son into battle, this would be a different ball game."
