Gavin Newsom Reveals That Donald Trump Tried To Set Up Ivanka Trump With Tom Brady
The famous democrat recently released a new memoir, Young Man in a Hurry, which covers his journey into politics, his childhood, and more. He also reveals and details some interesting stories he's come across while working and spending time with other notable figures in politics, like President Trump.
During one part of the book, he recalled his first time spending an afternoon with the Apprentice star in 2018, during his first term in office, on presidential helicopter Marine One alongside his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who has been married to his businesswoman daughter since 2009. Suddenly, Trump began reminiscing on a time when Tom Brady, a famous retired football player, was single, and asked him for Ivanka's phone number at an event.
"He recounted that when Brady was single, the two of them were at a function and Brady expressed an interest in dating his daughter Ivanka," Newsom wrote, as reported by The Daily Mail. "The quarterback asked for her number, and Trump gave it to him. Brady called Ivanka and left a message, but she never called him back."

Jared Kushner Acknowledges He Was Not Donald Trump's 'First Choice' For His Daughter
As the story from the 79-year-old president continued, Newsom wrote that the Patriots player ended up reaching out to him, asking why his daughter wasn't getting back to him, seemingly getting serious about wanting to date her.
Trump allegedly called Ivanka himself to get the scoop, gesturing to his son-in-law and telling the governor, "I said, Jesus, you know, Tom Brady. What the hell is going on? Why aren't you calling this guy back? And she tells me, 'Oh, I'm in love What do you mean you're in love? And that's when she mentions this guy. This guy right here. This Kushner guy: I said to Ivanka, Not the guy whose father just got out of prison?"
As the president began bringing up Jared, the air reportedly felt "dead" when Jared finally chimed in, saying, "Yes, sir. I know I wasn't your first choice."
Making things even more uncomfortable, Trump allegedly added, "Not even close, right, Gavin? Tom Brady. Tom Brady."
