Donald Trump’s Handshake With The President Of Paraguay
Over the weekend, United States President Donald Trump and Paraguay President Santiago Peña met at Trump’s Shield of the Americas summit, or the Americas Counter-Cartel Coalition, which he launched in an attempt to combat drug cartels and criminal organizations in the Western Hemisphere. While clearly an attempt at an alliance, Trump’s actions while meeting his new allies was far from friendly.
In a video clip from the event, Trump and Peña are shaking hands for the cameras in what’s supposed to be a symbol of solidarity. As they pose for the shot, Peña holds Trump’s hand in front of his body, something that Trump apparently took issue with, as he very obviously attempted numerous times to yank Peña’s hand towards himself. However, Peña remained firm and didn’t let their position waver.

"He can't even shake hands properly," another person wrote.
"How absurd seeing the president of the United States acting so foolishly," agreed the next.
"Firm handshake is a sign of strength," wrote one user. "Squeezing and yanking is a sign of weakness."
"This was incredibly painful to watch," another comment reads.
"What's crazy is he thinks it's a power move to go try and assert dominance yet literally the entire world looks at him like a nutjob," added another.
"He's such a child," a final user posted.
