Donald Trump Doesn’t Care About Gas Prices
Gas prices in the US have increased by more than 50% since February when Trump launched his war against Iran. But in multiple conversations with press about the issue, he’s made it clear he doesn’t really care.
Earlier this week, Trump stood outside the White House and told reporters that the financial issues Americans are facing as a result of his war are pale in comparison to the possibility of Iran getting access to nuclear weapons.
“We have to do something with Iran,” he said to reporters. “We cannot let them have a nuclear weapon. You want to see the world exploded? You want to see a problem? This is peanuts.”
These comments come shortly after another viral moment in which he admitted he’s not even thinking about rising costs of living for Americans as a result of his war. “I don’t think about Americans’ financial situation,” he said. “I don’t think about anybody.” He then went on to add that preventing Iran from getting a nuclear weapon is “the only thing that matters.”

Across social media platforms, social media users called out Trump for his lack of empathy and leadership, saying he's "out of touch with reality" and "doesn't feel the pain that American people are suffering."
"That might be the first honest thing he's actually said," one person wrote on Instagram.
"Yeah as long as it doesn't affect him personally, of course he doesn't care," another person said.
"Money doesn't matter when you're fleecing American taxpayers at every turn," said another.
"If Trump wants to destroy Iran he should just go be their president for a year," one user suggested.
