This weekend, celebrities stepped out for the LACMA Art + Film Gala and stunned in one of the most notable dress trends of the year.
Numerous stars, from Paris Hilton to Kristen Wiig, stepped out for the gala, which raises money for cultural and educational events and exhibitions in sheer, mesh dresses that caught a lot of people’s attention. The celebs were clearly following what seems to be one of the biggest fashion trends of the year: see-through dresses that leave little to the imagination and cause a stir the next day. 1. Kim Petras
The German pop singer, well-known for her feature on Sam Smith's hit song, "Unholy," wore a super sheer Gucci dress that showed off her slender frame and sparkled as she posed for photographers. The dress was made up of glittering sequins in blush pink. It had a drapey, halter shilllouete and went down to her ankles.
The vocalist paired her see-through dress with a simple pair of nude heels and had her long, blonde locks styled into a glamorous updo. She kept her makeup and accessories to a minimum, clearly letting her dress do all of the talking.
2. Paris Hilton
Being that she's known as one of the entertainment industry's biggest 'it' girls, it's no surprise that the Simple Life star attended the fundraising gala. She also decided to wear something that certainly turned heads, as she was dressed head to toe in a sheer lace dress that hugged her figure. The dress was long-sleeved and made out of sheer black lace, adding a touch of elegance to an otherwise sultry look.
Paris paired the long dress with some black heels that had a pointed toe and wore a matching black lace choker that matched the fabric of her outfit. For jewelry, she had diamond bracelets resting above her sleeves on both hands, which gave off old-school Hollywood glamour vibes.
3. Kristen Wiig
The Saturday Night Live icon was also rocking the sheer dress trend at this gala, and while she's not just funny, she also proved she has a killer figure and flaunted it in a see-through lace dress. Her gown was strapless and also made from black lace. She wore minimal undergarments, showing off her torso.
Kristen's hair was a highlighted, dirty blonde color and worn down to her shoulders. She had a smoky eye makeup look that upped the sultry factor of her look for the evening. She also decided to stick with a few accessories, sporting a few silver rings and a dainty diamond bracelet on her wrist.
