Carrie Underwood Stuns In A Hawaiian-Inspired Dress On 'American Idol'
The "Blown Away" singer has been working hard as the latest season of American Idol, which she won in 2005, has been fully underway.
This Monday, the series had its first-ever "Ohana round," where the show's Top 30 contestants traveled to Hawaii to perform acoustic songs in front of the judges and loved ones. The episode ended in the judges having to cut ten performers, but the 20 who did make it through certainly made their mark.
For the special episode, Carrie leaned into the theme and wore a tropical, summery, Hawaii-themed outfit, which she took a selfie in and shared on social media. She had on a flowing, white halter dress made from a pleated material. The dress had pink, Hibiscus-like floral patterns on it and went all the way down to just above her ankles so that she could show off her dainty sandals.
Carrie's signature blonde hair was worn in an updo, and following the island vibes, she had an arrangement of several large flowers placed in her curly locks.

Carrie Gets Emotional During Keyla Richardson's Performance
Not only did the unique episode come with an exciting outfit for the famous mom-of-two, but it also held a series of emotional performances as the singing contestants opened up during their meaningful, acoustic songs and covers in front of not only the judges, but some of their loved ones as well.
At one point, Keyla Richardson, a 29-year-old singer from Florida, got up to sing a song in front of her young son, Drew. She sang A Thousand Years, and as the cameras panned to Carrie, she visibly welled up with tears. Once the song was over, she gave her comments, which were positive and vulnerable.
"To have the gift of watching you and getting to watch him," she said while getting emotional. "When I'm on stage, and my boys are out there, I don't know what they're doing. And I feel like I just got a glimpse of what they might be doing when I'm on stage, and it just made my mama-heart so happy. Your talent is limitless."
After that reaction, it looks like Idol viewers can expect to see more of Keyla, and hopefully, more of her son as well.
