Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt Are Still In A Legal Feud After Divorcing In 2016
In the early 2000s and 2010s, it was hard to name a celebrity couple as iconic as actors Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who went from co-stars to lovers to husband and wife with six children. However, they surprised their fans around the world when it was announced they were splitting up and getting a divorce.
Although their divorce was officially finalized in 2024 after splitting in 2016, and each of them has moved on, dating other people and taking on more projects while co-parenting their children, some fans of theirs may not realize that they're still in the middle of an intense legal battle regarding settlements, even if their divorce was finalized.
"Ten years of fighting is long enough, and nobody caught up in this mess is getting any younger," a source affiliated with the couple told Closer.

Brad Pitt Reportedly Wants To Resolve His Conflicts With Angelina This Year
According to sources and court documents, the former couple is continuing to go back and forth regarding some of their shared properties and assets, like their winery and French estate, Chateau Miraval. However, it looks like they're hoping 2026 is the year it'll all come to an end, and they can finally put the battle to rest.
"The word within Brad's camp and the people he listens closest to is that 2026 needs to be the year that Brad finally wraps up all this legal fighting with Angelina," the insider told the above publication. "Both sides have made their points, and it's time to find a compromise and put this whole thing to bed, no matter how uncomfortable that may be in the short term."
An additional source close to the F1 star has noted that he's ready for their 'feud' to be over so that he can officially move on personally, as well as continue working on the latest chapter of his career.
"His and Angelina's reputations have both been damaged by this conflict, and it's also distracted them from the tasks that got them both rich in the first place, which is making hit movies," the source claimed. "F1 was a huge milestone for Brad as the most popular and successful movie of his career, but maybe it could have been even bigger if Brad wasn't still embroiled with his legal fight with Angelina."
