Bill Gates Owns Up To His Affair That Was Mentioned In The Epstein Files

One of the most famous celebrity divorces of the last decade was the split between tech tycoon Bill Gates and his former wife, philanthropist Melinda Gates, in 2021. Since then, Melinda has been releasing more information about the dissolution of their marriage, including releasing a hit memoir. However, the latest release of the Epstein files from the Department of Justice happened to expose just how bad things were.

After more files related to the crimes of Jeffrey Epstein, who was sentenced to prison for trafficking in 2019, the year he died, were shared with the public, a draft email from the criminal to the billionaire mentioned "Russian girls" he had seemingly cheated on his wife with, and how he likely contracted an infection from his relations with them. Making matters more intense, there were also signs that pointed to Bill asking the New York businessman for medicine to give to Melinda without her knowing, to treat the same infection.

Once the email evidence was shared, a spokesperson for the business magnate released a statement that the story was "absolutely absurd and completely false." However, on February 24th, Bill ended up owning up to his actions during a town hall meeting for his famous charity, the Gates Foundation.

Bill Acknowledges His 'Huge Mistake' During Town Hall Meeting

Despite his spokespeople initially denying the information and evidence in the Epstein files, the public continued to press and scrutinize him, causing him to finally open up about the situation and admit to what he did.

"In the town hall, Bill spoke candidly, addressing several questions in detail, and took responsibility for his actions," a spokesperson for the charity reported to USA Today.

During the town hall, the 70-year-old explained that he became intimate with two Russian women whom Epstein knew about, stating, "a Russian bridge player who met me at bridge events and one with a Russian nuclear physicist whom I met through business activities."

Despite the evidence pointing to his personal relationship with the famous criminal, Bill insisted that he "never spent any time with victims" or women who were consistently near him, and called the entire experience "a huge mistake," clearing up that they lost touch in 2014.

"I apologize to other people who are drawn into this because of the mistake that I made," he added, hinting at sympathy for his ex-wife.
