Insider Reveals Beyoncé & Jay-Z Had Plans To Move To The UK

Over the last few years, the entertainment industry has seen its fair share of stars who have decided to move from the United States to a different country.

Some famous examples include Rosie O'Donnell, who moved with her children to Ireland for political reasons, as well as Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, who moved to England after the talk show's host was canceled and Donald Trump was elected for a second term as president. Over the last few months, there have been whispers and insider rumors that Ellen and Portia, who moved to the Cotswolds region of England, would be getting some famous American neighbors.

A source recently told The Sun that the famous musical couple had their eyes on a plot of land in the Cotswolds that cost around $8.7M.

"Beyoncé and Jay-Z buying this plot of land was the talk of the Cotswolds," they told the publication. "So many locals were excited about them moving in."

Sources Claim Beyoncé & Jay-Z 'Scrapped' Their Plans Due To Flooding

Although the "Crazy In Love" performers were reportedly starting to get serious about the plot of land, planning to build a large home with seven bedrooms that would comfortably fit their family of five, it looks like things have been put on hold.

Sources told the above publication that the couple has decided to look at different properties or plots of land, "scrapping" their initial plans after discovering the one they wanted was susceptible to floods.

"The plan appears to have fallen through," the insider revealed. "The plot they were looking at has still not been sold and is now being developed by another couple. It's a flood-prone area, and that will definitely have put a dampener on proceedings — especially with all the rain we've had over the past month."

We'll be curious to see if the music industry legends end up purchasing a different space for themselves and become neighbors with the comedian and her wife, as fans of theirs wait for an official reason as to why they would leave the U.S.
