Barack Obama Talks About Donald Trump Causing 'Tension' In His Marriage To Michelle Obama
According to reports, the IMO podcast host, 62, wants her husband to slow down and finally retire from politics for good so they can enjoy their life together. However, the current president's actions are reportedly forcing him to remain politically active.
"It does create genuine tension in our household, and it frustrates her," Obama reportedly told The New Yorker, referring to his wife and mother of their two daughters. "I'm more forgiving of it, I understand why people feel that way," he added.
While the Becoming author reportedly thinks her husband is doing too much, others believe he is not doing enough, which is something he also addressed.
"No other ex-president was the main surrogate for the party for four election cycles after they left office," the father-of-two said. He went on to add: "The fact that people want me to be doing more is a good sign."

Social Media Reactions
"Now Obama is blaming Trump for his marriage. He can't take responsibility for anything he does," slammed one X user. "Now he's blaming his marriage troubles on the President. Look in the mirror Barry, you're the cause of your own problems. And while you're at it, go away, don't do America any more favors," echoed a second.
"She probably thought he was going to retire like every other president historically has, but instead, he decided to stay in DC and meddle behind the scenes. I'd be salty too," a third concurred.
"Further proof that blaming others for your problems instead of holding yourself accountable is a lifelong endeavor for Democrats, it doesn't just end when they leave office," quipped a fourth.
A fifth chimed in: "If whoever is sitting in the Oval Office is causing "genuine tension" in your marriage, your marriage has serious problems."
