New Report Reveals Apple Donated $25 Million To Donald Trump's White House Ballroom Project

Amid his more controversial moves in office, President Trump has been pushing for the construction of a massive new ballroom at the White House. The project, which involves replacing the historic East Wing with a new structure, has an estimated cost of hundreds of millions of dollars, with the president seeking private donations to help fund the construction.

According to documents obtained by The Washington Post this week, Apple pledged $25 million to the project, making it one of the largest contributors. The records reportedly showed that the ballroom project had received $333 million in private donations, with the individual contribution amounts that had not yet been made public.

Other major donors include Nvidia, which also committed $25 million, as well as the Adelson family and billionaire Charles Ergen, co-founder and chairman of Dish Network, who each reportedly pledged the same amount. Microsoft, Palantir, and Lockheed Martin were also listed as having donated millions of dollars.

Apple's Donation Sparks Online Backlash

The ballroom project has been extremely controversial due to both the destruction of some of the White House's architecture and the involvement of private donors. Now, some Apple users are expressing disappointment with the company over its reported $25 million contribution, questioning why such an established brand they support would help fund the tricky project.

"Lost a lot of respect for Apple from this," wrote a user on Reddit.

"Do you mean that the money I have used to pay for Apple products I have bought have contributed even in some tiny way towards the horrific monstrosity that has destroyed a wing of the White House?" asked another. "If I had known that, I would seriously have reconsidered my tech choice."

"That and Tim Cook cozying up and shamelessly praising Trump with awards made me not wanna buy Apple stuff anymore," a user commented. "I thought they were in line with social justice and being positive. At the end of the day, they are a company and aligned with the capitalist fascist ghouls."

"These corporations are enablers," a user added.

On X, one user accused the tech giant of "wasteful spending," as another joked, "Is Trump taking the ballroom with him when he leaves office?"
