Angelina Jolie and her daughter Zahara Jolie made a rare public appearance together at the Alpha Kappa Alpha Mother-Daughter Luncheon at Spelman College in Atlanta.
For the event, the duo showcased their spring style with distinct looks. The actress wore a cream long-sleeved dress with ruched detailing and a floor-length skirt, styling her blonde hair in a soft side part with minimal makeup.
Zahara, 21, opted for a floral print dress paired with beige pumps. The pair posed for photos, and Angelina even joined her daughter on stage as Zahara delivered a heartfelt speech praising her mom.

“When asked to speak with you all today on the value of mother-daughter relationships, it felt challenging to find the words,” Zahara said. “Not challenging because I don’t value it, but because my mom and I have a unique, almost kindred, relationship that can be hard to put into words.”
She continued by calling the 50-year-old the “most selfless, loving and understanding woman,” adding, “I think back to a quote I saw years ago that said, ‘I am a strong woman because a strong woman raised me.’ Thank you, mom.”
Fans quickly flooded the comments section with emotional reactions. “Say what you want about it, but she has ALWAYS shown up for her kids. She doesn’t care about her celebrity status in that regard,” one person wrote. Another added, “One thing Angelina don’t play about her kids.”
Others chimed in with praise for their bond, writing, “I love their relationship. She adopted those kids and did right by them… It truly makes my heart smile,” while another said, “Angelina can be called a lot of things but a bad mother could NEVER be one of them.” One more fan commented, “what a well spoken young lady. i’m emotional actually. so happy to call myself a fan of angelina’s.”

Zahara Jolie Drops 'Pitt' From Last Name
As of April 2026, Zahara Jolie (formerly Jolie-Pitt) has publicly distanced herself from her father, Brad Pitt, by dropping his surname. In November 2023, while joining the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, she introduced herself as “Zahara Marley Jolie,” omitting “Pitt” from her name.
Zahara was adopted by Angelina and Brad from an orphanage in Ethiopia in 2005 when she was just six months old. She is the third eldest of the former couple’s six children and one of several who have reportedly distanced themselves from Pitt following their parents’ 2016 split.
