Ten years ago, I was the girl who was all about a new lipstick launch, a cool pair of heels, or a unique piece of jewelry at a street market. Fast forward a decade (I’m married with a kid), and I still love those things, but I get equally excited about a beautifully designed kitchen or a genius laundry innovation that promises to make life easier.

I want our home to feel beautiful and inviting, but I’m most invested in how a space functions… especially if it means I’ll spend less time in the laundry room (LOL). Which is why I find myself following events like the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS), the annual industry event that tracks future trends in kitchens, baths, and connected living spaces. Hosted in Orlando during Design & Construction Week, KBIS 2026 was basically a design lover’s dream, with big name brands and up-and-coming innovators showing off what’s next.

From high-speed ovens to sculptural soaking tubs, these are 20 innovations to come out of KBIS this year that I’m personally loving—and, if you’re anything like me in this stage of life, you’ll probably be just as obsessed.

JennAir Customizable Panel Options

Honestly, JennAir’s booth at KBIS was a full-on design fantasy. More than just showcasing performance, the brand leaned into the idea of “design without limits,” highlighting advanced customization options for their panel-ready, built-in refrigeration and appliances. Through partnerships with luxury material designers, they’re giving homeowners the freedom to treat appliances as part of the design vision, not an afterthought. And the bold hues, natural textures, and seamless finishes of the panel options on display prove their point!

Meanwhile, the standout feature on the exterior of my fridge is currently my child’s smudgy fingerprints … but I guess a girl can dream of the day her kitchen looks this luxe.

KitchenAid KF8 Espresso Machine

I’ll be honest: I’m a tea drinker, and I only just figured out how to use the regular coffeemaker in our house. But because my husband takes his espresso very seriously, I think it’s worth grabbing KitchenAid’s newest KF8 Espresso Machine.

This sleek, metal-clad machine truly makes brewing simple (even for this tea girl). With a built-in grinder and smart dosing technology, it delivers the right grind every time, and you can choose from 40+ drink options, from espresso to cappuccinos and lattes. The included milk container automatically froths and heats your milk of choice, while a removable bean hopper makes swapping roasts easy. Even cleanup is streamlined thanks to a handy “Clean Me” indicator light!

Whirlpool Top Load Washer with Delicates Basket

I once ruined my husband’s favorite sweater by accidentally tossing it in the dryer, and I’m still mourning one of my own sweater-tops that shrunk beyond repair in a separate incident (sobs). So while the new Whirlpool top-load washer doesn’t officially go on sale until later this year, I’m already plotting how to get my hands on one.

And my reasoning has everything to do with that integrated delicates basket. This clever addition sits right in the center of the drum, giving delicate items (and rogue socks) their own space so they’re not getting tossed around in a regular cycle. It’s such a smart solution because you don’t have to fish tiny pieces out of a massive load or stress about your favorite knit getting wrecked in the wash.

Maytag Top Load Pet Pro Laundry System

As a dog mama, I can vacuum like my life depends on it and still somehow find pet hair clinging to my “clean” laundry. So obviously I was thrilled to hear about Maytag’s new Pet Pro Laundry System—which is specifically designed to tackle tough messes (including the never-ending battle against pet hair).

The Pet Pro option releases extra water to help lift and capture hair during the wash, while the dryer is designed to trap and remove it from clothes. It also features a Sanitize with Oxi cycle that removes 99.7% of odor-causing bacteria, plus an Extra Power feature that boosts stain-fighting on any cycle with an intense pre-wash and added agitation. If you share your home with a furry friend, this is going to give your laundry routine a serious glow-up.

Empava 76-inch Sculpture Soaking Tub

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve loved nothing more than sinking into a hot bath with a really great book. Even now, a gorgeous freestanding tub feels like the height of luxury to me.

Truly, Empava’s 76-inch Sculptura Soaking Tub takes “gorgeous freestanding tub” to new heights. This showstopping design is crafted from translucent resin in bold finishes like amber, emerald, and wine red, allowing light to pass through and highlight its sculptural shape. That’s what makes it feel so dramatic and almost gallery-like, transforming a functional fixture into a true centerpiece. At 76 inches long, it offers generous soaking space, but the real statement here is a visual one.

Bemis Universal Fit (NextStep2)

File this under “why didn’t someone think of this sooner?” While my toddler is officially potty trained (thank goodness), we still have approximately 47 different toilet contraptions floating around the bathroom because she’s not quite big enough for a standard seat.

The Bemis NextStep2 Universal Fit Toilet Seat is a smart solution for any family navigating potty training phases. Designed to work with both round and elongated bowls, it features a built-in child seat with a gentle curve that provides a secure, comfortable fit. The Stay-Tite fastening system keeps everything firmly in place (no awkward shifting, IYKYK), while Whisper-Close technology ensures no loud slams. It even has an Easy-Clean hinge for quick wipe-downs, which is essential at this stage.

Midea 24″ Top Control Dishwasher with STRAWash, Sensor TruDry

My family lives off tumblers and Stanley cups. We’re always on the go, so traditional mugs don’t really work for us, but trying to wedge a 40-ounce tumbler into the dishwasher (and then forcing the rack shut) is its own kind of chaos.

Thankfully, Midea’s newest 24″ Top Control Dishwasher was designed with this exact struggle in mind. It features a dedicated Bottle Wash zone that fits up to five 40-ounce tumblers, plus a third-rack Lid Zone so caps come out truly clean. There’s even an industry-first STRAWash section that holds straws in place while targeted jets clean them inside and out, along with an adjustable middle rack and SENSOR TruDry technology that actively removes moisture. It genuinely feels like a dishwasher built for families like mine (and I have a feeling we’re not alone).

Kohler x Studio McGee Audrine Kitchen Sink Collection

As someone who has watched approximately one million episodes of Fixer Upper, I know the transformative power of a really beautiful sink. And that’s the whole appeal of the Kohler x Studio McGee Audrine Kitchen Sink Collection.

Marking Kohler’s return to fireclay for the first time in decades, these sinks pair a smooth, nonporous finish with a modern farmhouse silhouette that resists chipping and discoloration over time. Available in White or Dune, the collection includes apron-front, undermount, and bar options—all featuring an integrated ledge that keeps a white oak cutting board, basin rack, and wire baskets neatly in place (and tucked away when not in use). So yes, this sink can (and does) steal the spotlight.

Fotile 5.0 Venticore Series Inclined Vent Range Hood

Anyone else love the idea of steak night, but hate when the kitchen ends up full of smoke and you have to open the porch door to air things out even though it’s freezing outside? (Or is that just me?) Anyway, the Fotile 5.0 Venticore Series Inclined Vent Range Hood deals with that problem specifically.

Instead of being a bulky visual distraction, this hood is engineered to blend into cabinetry for a more streamlined look. Its inclined vent system is built for strong smoke capture and quick air refresh, while a bionic, aeroacoustic design keeps the operation quiet. There’s even a 24/7 air management feature that automatically detects lingering fumes and clears them in under a minute. With durable, aviation-tested components and serious airflow performance, it proves that high-powered ventilation can be both smartly hidden and highly effective.

Moen Weymouth Pulldown in Kitchen Faucet with Magnetix Docking

My kitchen sink currently has a spray wand that I’m forever struggling with. That slight droop somehow manages to make the whole sink area look messy—even when everything else is clean.

That’s exactly what won’t happen with Moen’s Weymouth Pulldown Kitchen Faucet. The magnetic docking system is designed to snap the spray wand securely back into place, so there’s no sagging over time. Paired with Moen’s Reflex hose system, it glides smoothly during use and retracts neatly after every rinse. And function aside, it’s just plain pretty. With porcelain-inlay accents, Euro-inspired script detailing, and six available finishes, it brings timeless, farmhouse-leaning charm to the entire kitchen.

Cosentino Invisacook in Dekton

I truly can’t wait for the day I’m no longer scrubbing burn marks and dried pasta noodles off my stovetop. And after seeing Cosentino’s Invisacook Induction Cooktop concept, that day feels… closer. Instead of the usual black glass cooktop breaking up your counters, this system is installed directly beneath Cosentino’s iconic Dekton surface, meaning you cook right on the countertop itself. There aren’t any visible burners or grates, just one seamless slab that doubles as both a workspace and heat source. Revolutionary, right??

Because Dekton is ultra-compact and resistant to heat, scratches, and UV exposure, it can handle the job without sacrificing durability. It’ll make your kitchen look impossibly sleek and minimalist and, in my dream scenario, a whole lot easier to wipe clean after spaghetti night.

Cafe Side-by-Side Refrigerator

If you’ve ever wished your refrigerator felt a little more Pinterest board and a little less stainless-steel standard, the Café side-by-side refrigerator that debuted at KBIS 2026 is definitely worth a look.

Available in a counter-depth 24-cubic-foot configuration, it keeps the classic side-by-side layout while layering in elevated details and finish options that feel more tailored than traditional stainless. Inside, LED light walls help illuminate and showcase everything clearly, and two in-the-door ice makers (including one with customizable cube sizes) add serious everyday convenience.

GE Profile Opal Mini Ice Maker

When I was a kid, there was a fast food spot we used to visit that had the best ice. Weird thing to say—but if you love chewable ice that’s fun to sip through a straw, you probably know exactly what I mean. This compact ice maker (a smaller version of GE Profile’s cult-favorite Opal) brings that same nugget-style ice home, instead of the standard hard cubes.

It uses a top-fill reservoir to keep the footprint small, but still produces plenty of ice throughout the day. Plus, with a built-in filter and automatic descaling, each batch stays fresh.

GE Profile Smart 4-Door French-Door Refrigerator with Kitchen Assistant

The idea behind GE Profile’s Refrigerator with Kitchen Assistant is that it doesn’t just keep your produce cold, but helps you manage what’s in there.

The model blends everyday practicality with smart tech, including a built-in barcode scanner and an 8-inch touchscreen that help you build and sync a digital grocery list straight to the SmartHQ app. You can add items manually or by scanning empty packages, check what’s inside from your phone thanks to interior cameras, and even access meal-planning tools and recipes right on the screen. There’s voice control too, so you can add to your shopping list hands-free while you’re in the kitchen. If you’ve stood in the grocery this week wondering whether you already bought onions (me), you’ll totally appreciate that.

TOTO Aurora WASHLET + S7A One-Piece Bidet Toilet

If you told me a toilet could be exciting, I would’ve thought you were kidding—but that was until I read up on this one-piece bidet toilet. It’s exciting because of how much TOTO has infused thoughtful, comfort-first tech into something all of us use every day. The integrated WASHLET uses warm water cleansing, adjustable spray settings, and a heated seat to make every trip feel cleaner and more comfortable. It also features powerful, efficient flushing and a sleek, modern one-piece design.

Once you experience a heated seat and customizable cleansing settings, I imagine it’s pretty hard to go back to a basic old porcelain throne.

Monogram 900 Series Monogram 24″ Premium Fully Integrated Dishwasher

Monogram’s newest 900 series dishwashers (available in April) are among the quietest on the market. And because I tend to run my dishwasher at night and live in fear that it’ll wake up my 3-year-old, this is hugely appealing. Even more so because performance isn’t sacrificed for silence! With 90 wash jets, including dedicated bottle and utensil jets, this dishwasher delivers through 360-degree cleaning to tackle stuck-on food and everyday grime. It also introduces new cycle options like Crystal for delicate glassware and HYDROSAVE to reduce water usage by more than 25%, plus a Platinum Plus setting developed in partnership with Cascade to optimize cleaning in less time.

Sharp Celerity High-Speed Oven

If you have a toddler, you know that when they’re hungry, they’re hungry. And as a full-time working mom, there are plenty of nights when we all just want dinner on the table ASAP. Enter the Sharp Celerity High Speed Oven.

Thanks to its industry-first Golden Heater Technology, it can cook a whole chicken up to three times faster than a conventional oven (!!). It combines multiple cooking modes (like microwave, convection bake, grill, and even air fry) into one sleek appliance, and there’s even a High-Speed Pro setting that lets you fine-tune the heating elements for more precise control. Add in smart presets, sensor cooking that takes the guesswork out of timing, and app connectivity so you can control it from your phone, and this kitchen upgrade starts to feel pretty magical.

LG SIGNATURE 29″ WashCombo with AIDD 2.0

Space and time are two things I’m always trying to save, so I love that LG’s new SIGNATURE 29″ WashCombo with AIDD 2.0 is designed for my real life!

This single-unit washer and dryer handles up to 5.8 cubic feet and can complete a full wash-and-dry cycle in as little as 90 minutes. Built-in AI sensors detect fabric type and load size, then automatically adjust motion, water levels, and detergent dispensing for optimized care. It also uses a Direct Drive inverter motor and upgraded heat pump system for quieter operation and better energy efficiency, which is especially helpful in smaller homes where appliances are never truly out of sight. It’s a must-have for anyone juggling a busy schedule in a tight space.

LG SKS Invisible Induction

Kitchen minimalism is clearly having a moment, and LG’s SKS Invisible Induction Cooktop fits right into that shift. While some systems (like Cosentino’s Invisacook) cook directly through the countertop surface itself, this model takes a different approach: it uses traditional induction technology, but conceals the cooktop beneath a seamless surface so it visually disappears when not in use.

When it’s time to cook, the surface activates for fast, precise, and responsive heat, delivering the efficiency induction is known for without the usual footprint. It’s another example of the growing trend toward hidden appliances that keep kitchens looking clean and uninterrupted, and I’m here for it.

Delta Trinsic Collection Pull-Down Bath Faucet

Usually, pull-down sink faucets feature only in kitchen, but Delta has now brought it to bathrooms. It’s genius IMO because the extendable spout means you can rinse makeup splotches off the sink, or just generally clean up without doing the awkward sink-lean shuffle. Bathroom cleanup just got easier!

These KBIS innovations are giving us plenty to be excited about in 2026 (and beyond).
