Former Prince Andrew Launches Lawsuit

Andrew Mountbatten-Windor, formerly the Duke of York, was arrested earlier this year by the Thames Valley Police, on the morning of his 66th birthday. The arrest came as law enforcement investigated allegations that the former royal shared sensitive government information with Jeffrey Epstein. However, after a 12-hour questioning session, he was released without charge.

Now, nearly 8 months later, Andrew is challenging the legality of the police action that led to his arrest. He's calling for a judicial review of the search warrants used to raid his properties, including the Sandringham Estate and Royal Lodge. His private High Court hearing is scheduled for Thursday, October 8th.

Social Media Reactions

Across social media platforms, users reacted with disbelief upon hearing that Andrew would be taking legal action against police. "So he's suing the police for arresting him based on evidence from the Epstein files?" one person asked on X. "Bold strategy."

"Who's paying his lawyers," asked another user.

"Is he brain damaged," said another. "The discovery should be very interesting."

"The sheer audacity never ceases to amaze me," added the next.

"He must be the most obtuse and self absorbed royal," suggested another.

"The audacity to sue the police while he's still the one in the Epstein files is genuinely something," said another.

"He's so desperate," said a final user. "Disgusting."
