Some users specifically focused on photos from the period when Guilfoyle was married to Gavin Newsom, saying she appeared more natural and fresh-faced at the time. Others used the comparison to discuss the so-called “Mar-a-Lago face,” a term used online to describe a highly polished aesthetic associated by some commentators with certain conservative and Republican figures. The label has been used to describe combinations of prominent makeup, cosmetic procedures, fillers, Botox, dramatic hairstyles and other beauty treatments.

One Reddit user wrote, “It’s called the Mar-a-Lago face.”
Another described the look as similar to what they had seen among some Real Housewives stars, claiming it can involve “heavy Botox treatments” and “overuse of lip filler,” before adding that the result can be a “bloated face with limited muscle control.”
“Which is sad, because she was legitimately beautiful at one point,” another person commented.
“Her and Kristi Noem went to the same plastic surgeon,” someone else claimed, while another wrote, “I am convinced that this awful, obvious plastic surgery trend is meant to send the message ‘I can afford plastic surgery’ rather than actually make them look better.”

Guilfoyle’s Marriage to Gavin Newsom
The mom of one was previously married to Newsom, whom she wed in December 2001. The couple divorced in 2006.
During their marriage, the Governor of California served on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors before becoming mayor of San Francisco.
City records show that he served on the Board of Supervisors from 1997 through 2004 before taking office as mayor. Guilfoyle later went on to establish a career in television and politics, including a long tenure as a Fox News personality.
What a Cosmetic Surgeon Said About Her Appearance
Cosmetic surgeon Dr. Gary Motykie previously offered his opinion about Guilfoyle’s appearance in comments to the Daily Mail, suggesting that she may have used fillers.
He pointed to her cheeks appearing fuller compared with earlier public appearances and said he was suspicious that filler could be contributing to the difference.
“She’s lost a lot of weight,” he said. “But this isn’t the case with her, which makes me suspicious for filler — which has been used to make her cheeks much fuller.”
Motykie also suggested that the 57-year-old may have used lip filler, based on his observation that the size of her lips appeared relatively consistent despite other changes in her appearance.
His comments were an outside cosmetic surgeon’s assessment, rather than confirmation from Guilfoyle that she has undergone any particular procedure.
