The 13-year-old recently sat down for an interview with Dazed as the magazine’s Autumn 2026 cover star, where she discussed everything from her budding music career to her signature blue hair and love of body piercings. North West Opens Up About Her Piercings & Style In A New Interview
The eldest daughter of the SKIMS founder and rapper is stepping into the spotlight and enjoying a major career milestone as the latest cover star of Dazed magazine. In the interview that came with her bright-colored, edgy photoshoot, North opened up about her growing music career, including her debut EP N0rth4evr, her creative interests, and her hopes for the future.
Part of her conversation with the publication was dedicated to her style, leading her to reveal certain things like how her noteworthy blue hair was inspired by the Japanese virtual pop star Hatsune Miku.
Eventually, the conversation turned to piercings, and the teenager made it clear that her interest in body modifications is about more than following a trend. She explained that she likes how they make her feel like herself, before revealing that there is one particular piercing she would love to get but has not received permission to have.
"I really want to get my bridge pierced, but I'm not allowed," she said.

Social Media Users React To North's Piercings & Kim's Parenting
The young prodigy's love of piercings has already sparked plenty of debate online. She was first spotted with piercings while on vacation in Rome with Kim last year, and she's since gotten dermal studs on her hands and fingers, cheek piercings, and, more recently, apparent piercings on her thighs. Despite an increase in criticism towards the piercings online from fans and other pop culture enthusiasts, in her interview, North made it clear that she loves them.
"[Piercings] just make you your full self," she told the publication.
The criticism surrounding her piercings made its way to her mom, with some social media users questioning whether the reality star is allowing her daughter to make adult-style decisions about her body at too young an age.
"This child is screaming for help," an X user wrote in relation to her interview.
"She's the product of Kanye West and a Kardashian," responded another. "So I guess it was inevitable that she would be this screwed up."
"She should be focused on school and friends," added a user, as another accused Kim and Kanye of practicing "irresponsible parenting."
