Donald Trump is seemingly finding it harder and harder to stay awake during press conferences. Yet again he’s been filmed and photographed apparently taking a nap while other executives speak around him. His most recent offense happened at the August 10th Oval OFfice executive order ceremony regarding childhood vaccine recommendations—visibly dozing off while Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, Director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), spoke. Keep reading for more information.

Donald Trump Falls Asleep During White House Press Conference

While Dr. Bhattacharya spoke about the executive order essentially overhauling America’s childhood vaccine recommendations, Trump appeared to be dozing off. In many instances, his head drooped back or to the side as his eyes closed and his mouth went lax.

This is far from the first time Trump’s been caught sleeping during press conferences, in fact, he’s just about making a habit of it. Critics online can’t help but point out that the 80-year-old use to call out Joe Biden for dozing off in meetings as well, and is now quite the hypocrite.

Social Media Reactions

Across social media platforms, users have called the president many names, including "Donald Slump," "Donnie the dozer," 'Sleepy Don," and "Donny Dozenoff!" Others too cracked jokes, leaving comments like, "Weekend at Bernie's!"

"This is the funniest s*** I’ve ever seen if it weren’t so tragic for our country," another wrote on Instagram.

"Wake up old man!" said another.

"Come on Grandpa, stay awake!" added the next.

Others didn't think it was funny, writing lines like, "The president of the United States eyes shouldn’t be closed while in a meeting this is sickening," and "He's totally unfit to hold the role of President!"
