Prince George is growing up before our eyes – emphasis on the growing – as a new Instagram post from his recent Royal Air Force visit showed the 12-year-old appearing nearly as tall as his mom, Kate Middleton, prompting a flood of comments from royal fans.
Although the public has watched Prince William and Kate’s firstborn grow up since he made his debut on the steps of the Lindo Wing in 2013, the latest Instagram post from his visit with his mother still had many fans doing a double take over just how tall he’s become. Others couldn’t help but point out how “handsome” he was, while others noticed a striking resemblance to his late grandmother, Princess Diana.

Prince George Almost Towers Over Mom Kate Middleton At Royal Engagement
The Princess of Wales, 44, and Prince George, who will be starting at Eton College boarding school in September, visited the RAF Coningsby to honor Armed Forces Day on Saturday, June 27th. They took turns sitting in the cockpits of several historic military aircraft, including a Second World War Spitfire and an RAF Typhoon, and seemed to have a great time judging by the Instagram post!
The Princess of Wales wore dark slim-fit trousers, a white top, a checked blazer by Max Mara, and Pretty Ballerinas pointed-toe brown flats, while Prince George wore a dark suit with a blue shirt, keeping the look a little more relaxed by forgoing a tie.

The official Prince and Princess of Wales Instagram page shared a photo of the mother and son as the cover image for a video highlighting their visit, with the caption: "Marking Armed Forces Day by reflecting on time spent with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at RAF Coningsby."
The caption to the post continued: "Learning about the extraordinary history of these aircraft and meeting the pilots and engineers who keep their legacy alive.
