Taylor Swift Reportedly Wanted To Sing At Her Wedding To Travis Kelce

Wedding season is officially here, and one of the most highly anticipated ceremonies and events around the world is the one between the Eras Tour star and the Kansas City Chiefs icon.

The couple, who have been together since 2023 and wowed the world with their engagement announcement last year, have had their fans and pop culture lovers waiting in anticipation to see what they have planned for their one-of-a-kind wedding. Though no plans or dates have been confirmed by the happy couple themselves, there have been numerous reports from inside sources that they're tying the knot during this year's 4th of July weekend, specifically on the 3rd.

Additionally, others have shared that they'll be getting married in none other than New York City's Madison Square Garden, one of the world's most famous concert venues. Since the initial reports came out, sources have shared that streets surrounding the venue will be blocked off on their big day, and that notable names have reserved rooms in nearby hotels. Now, more messages are coming out about the entertainment on the big day, and sources have revealed that the Grammy-winner was hoping to sing as the bride.

"Taylor isn't planning a traditional wedding," a source told Hollywood reporter Rob Shuter. "She's creating a once-in-a-lifetime experience. People close to her fully expect some kind of musical moment."

Some Of Taylor's Wedding Guests Think Her Singing Would Be 'Egotistical'

After rumors began circulating that the "Opalite" vocalist was considering performing a song or two at her big, festive wedding, within her social circle and guest list, some attendees were allegedly having mixed reactions.

One inside source told RadarOnline that there were people who found the idea to be the "ultimate egotistical" move as a bride.

"Most brides want to be the center of attention on their wedding day, but Taylor is already one of the most famous women in the world," they said. "The idea of her performing at her own reception is being viewed by some people as the ultimate egotistical wedding plan. There are guests who think it would be incredible entertainment, but others feel a wedding should be about celebrating the couple rather than staging another Taylor Swift show. It's certainly getting people talking."

There are reportedly some guests or those knowledgeable about the high-profile wedding who find that although music is the 36-year-old's bread and butter, she should let go of performing for one night to avoid looking like she's full of herself.

"Taylor lives and breathes music, so nobody would be surprised if she wanted to sing," the source added. "But some people are joking that even on her wedding day, she can't resist stepping onto a stage. That's the perception among critics, whether it's fair or not."
