Kate Middleton is catching some heat from critics after her recent appearance at Trooping the Colour this year, after being spotted giving some anti-monarchy protestors the “death stare.” While some are critiquing the princess for her un-royal behavior, fans are coming out in droves to defend her, claiming that she was just looking out for her young children. Keep reading for more information.

Kate Middleton 'Glares' At Anti-Monarchy Protestors
The Princess of Wales rode in a carriage with her three children, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8, for the event, while Prince William rode on horseback. William held quite an official role in the event, wearing full ceremonial uniform and leading the military procession as as Colonel of the Welsh Guards. Meanwhile, Kate and the kids rode along elegantly in a Ascot Landau carriage, but during one moment, anti-monarchy protestors could be heard shouting at the royal family, prompting Kate to dish out what social media users are calling a "death stare."
As hecklers from the anti-monarchy group booed Princess Catherine and the young princes and princess, Kate very obviously gave them a stern look, likely because her children were present. However, the mother-of-three quickly regained her composure and the rest of the event went off without a hitch.

Social Media Reactions
Luckily, social media users came to Middleton's defense online, shutting down haters by explaining that she was just looking out for her children. "Why is it so difficult to see?" one person asked. "She was obviously worried about the security of her kids! That is clearly a mother’s protective instinct where she sensed that there might’ve been hostility, as any parent would."
"Get a grip!!" said another. "Catherine is a very decent person, doing an amazing job & an impeccable role model for the monarchy and her children/family! Leave them alone!"
"She was being a mother, she had right to be concerned that her children would hear or see things that could affect them." agreed the next.
"Her children were there, of course she didn’t like it, what mother would?" asked another.
"Catherine has always put being a mother first, so why are we surprised that she looked concerned?" another comment reads.
"Any mother would look concerned in that situation," a final fan said.
