Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s divorce took nearly a decade to finalize, and after the many legal battles and accusations launched back and forth, both parties are free to move on from one another. Brad Pitt has taken the route of falling in love again, and is in a committed relationship with jewelry designer Ines de Ramon.
Angelina Jolie, on the other hand, has focused her life on being a mother, and more or less recovering from the painful process that was her divorce. Recently, she admitted that she’s starting to feel like herself again, saying, “life has broken me a little bit,” but that she’s ready to “live again.” Keep reading for more information.

Angelina Jolie Admits 'Life Has Broken Me A Little Bit'
Jolie, who shares six children with Pitt, has poured her energy into being a good mother to her children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne. In a recent interview, she spoke about how her daughters in particular are helping her shift her perspective on midlife. "I'm discovering something now that my daughters are older," she said. "They're talking to me as young women, and I'm seeing what I want for them. I'm seeing what I don't want them to lose and what I want them to hold on to. And it's kind of reminding me what I may have lost."

"I think in some way they're bringing me back to my old self," Jolie said of her girls, Zahara, 21, Shiloh, 20, and Vivienne, 17. "My desire for them to have all of the strength and openness and softness and faith and ferocity is reminding me. I think they kind of want me now to not just be 'Mom.' There's a different room for me to be that woman again, that's not just a mom."
Jolie also answered questions about her dating life—or lack thereof it. "To be candid, I haven't dated since I divorced a decade ago," she said. "So I kind of get in my head that that aspect of me is not centered in my life if I'm focusing on my children, my family."
But, change is on the horizon for the actress. That's not to say she's ready to dive back into the dating pool, but she admits she is ready to expand her life beyond motherhood and acting. "Yes, things are changing, but in a way I didn't expect," Jolie said. "It doesn't feel like I'm 51 and starting to think of being older. I'm thinking I have to live again. Be free again. In a way that maybe life has broken me a little bit."
Brad Pitt Moves On
Pitt's post-divorce experience, on the other hand, has been completely different than Jolie's experience. While Jolie has sworn off dating and focused on motherhood, Pitt, 62, has chosen to return to love, and is reportedly "as good as married" to his younger girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, 33.

"Brad and Ines are as good as married, for all intents and purposes, and it's been that way for a while now," a source alleged. "He trusts her implicitly and vice versa. They're soulmates who thrive off each other in every way."
The insider added that while Pitt is reportedly happy in the relationship, he's less focused on making things official. "To him, marriage is more of a spiritual commitment. He's very happy but less interested in formalities these days, so the process of organizing a wedding is less appealing for him," the source claimed.
The source continued, "But privately, he acknowledges that it would be a nice thing to do, if only to show Ines how committed he truly is."
According to insiders, de Ramon isn't pressuring the actor to walk down the aisle.
"She's not pressuring him by any means. Like Pitt, she's been there, done that when it comes to marriage and divorce," the source added. "But if Pitt wanted to make things official, she'd do it in half a heartbeat. And the talk is that they'll be doing just that soon enough, if they haven't already."
